Our Educational Approach
Music Immersion
Since children learn by watching and listening, our approach is to immerse the children in a rich musical environment full of interesting sounds, movements, rhythms, meters, and tonalities. With various kinds of instruments to play, silly things to laugh at, and lots of different models to follow, children naturally learn how to make music.
Child-Centered
In Music Together® they get to respond in their own way and in their own time. There is no expectation to sit still or perform on cue, and it isn't about learning to follow directions. The class environment is structured, but free. This creates the disposition to try new things and stimulates the learning cycle of play, discovery, practice, and mastery.

Parent/Caregiver Model
A child's favorite and most influential model is an adult with whom they have a close bond- that's you! There is no need for parents and caregivers to have music knowledge or skill, just the desire to play and have fun. The grownups will discover new ways to play with music, and with the help of the songbook and recordings to use at home, support their child’s music learning and overall development all week long.
Our Class Approach

At Music Together, we believe children learn best in a rich musical environment that supports exploration, modeling, and connection. Our program offers both Mixed-Age and All Babies classes, each designed to meet the developmental needs of young children while nurturing the bond between caregiver and child.
Mixed-Age Classes (0–5 years) foster a community-style environment where children participate at their own developmental level. Beyond the convenience of bringing siblings together, these classes offer powerful learning opportunities. Babies are mesmerized by the energy of toddlers, while older children build confidence by modeling musical behaviors and sharing ideas. This naturally inclusive setting also supports children with developmental differences and encourages social-emotional growth through joyful music-making and shared experiences.
All Babies Classes (birth–12 months) are specially designed to honor and support the unique needs of our youngest music makers. In these gentle, slower-paced classes, caregivers learn ways to interact musically with their babies through singing, purposeful touch, and rhythmic play. These early experiences lay the foundation for a lifetime of musical connection, and provide a peaceful, nurturing space for bonding.

What Our Families Say
"This program is so much more than a mommy and me activity. Our Music Together class quickly became our favorite part of the week and at home, the songs are a part of our daily routine to dance to and to sing - highly recommend enrolling!

"Our Music Together experience is something our granddaughter and I look forward to every week. We are in our third year of the program and it is so exciting to see her explore and develop her musicality in such a creative way. The music spontaneously reverberates from her being in the most unexpected and delightful manner and we are so pleased to be a part of her development which we know she will carry with her for a lifetime. Thank you!" Cinda and Mike, Grandparents
