Our Teachers 

Emily was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, where she was immersed in the Waldorf school program, fostering a strong foundation in the arts, including dance, singing, and performance. In 2016, while living in San Francisco, she became a registered Music Together® teacher and taught her first class in Boulder under the guidance of Music Together Director Jane Roche. After three months, Emily accepted a position in the wine industry, temporarily placing her Music Together journey on hold.

In February 2022, driven by a deep desire to return to Music Together, Emily rejoined the community, inspired by the rewarding experience of educating both children and parents. For two years, she taught under Tammy Barr of Aspen Music Together, gaining invaluable insight into running a successful early childhood music program.

In November 2023, Emily became a preschool teacher at the Little Red School House in Snowmass Village, Colorado. During that time, she also managed and taught the Music Together In-School program for Little Red, Woody Creek Kids, and Tiny Pines—making history as these became the first schools on the Western Slope to include Music Together in their curriculum.

As of summer 2025, Emily has transitioned fully into her role as a Music Together Director and Master License holder, offering Family Classes at The Launchpad Studio in Carbondale, Colorado. She is now the Music Together In-School Specialist for Children's Rocky Mountain School (CRMS) in Carbondale for the 2025–2026 school year.

Now a new mother to her daughter, Macy (born June 30, 2025), Emily feels more connected than ever to the importance of music in early childhood. She feels incredibly humbled and grateful to share music with families in her community, and her enthusiasm is evident in her joy of singing, dancing, laughing, and connecting with children and their grownups alike.
